WEDNESDAY 26TH FEBRUARY 2020 - 7PM TILL 9PM AT CARDINAL HEENAN SPORTS COMPLEX, LIVERPOOL
This year's first aid course was held in the Media room at the Cardinal Heenan Sports Complex. The course was delivered by Frank Edwards from the EDUK8 Partnership. The course which was well attended, proved to be most informative, useful and enjoyed by all.
SATURDAY 6TH APRIL 2019, AT THE CAVENDISH MARTIAL ARTS CLUB, HULL
The 2nd Dan grading for Sensei Matt Dowbekin was held on Saturday 6th April and I am pleased to announce that it was an excellent grading, which Sensei Dowbekin earned and deserved.. Sensei Dowbekin was awarded his 2nd Dan grade by Sensei Amos Sedgewick from the grading panel which included Sensei Cathy Woods, Sensei Graham Houff and Sensei Ken Iveson . Our grateful thanks to Mat Master, Sensei Gary O'Neill and Uki's Sensei Tom Wray and Sensei Colin Palmer., Instructor Millie Hayden, and Ed and Lee from Cavendish Ju Jitsu.
SATURDAY 6TH APRIL 2019, 10AM TILL 4PM AT THE CAVENDISH MARTIAL ARTS CLUB IN HULL.
The Hull Training Day provided a wealth of Master Classes in a variety of martial arts, Ju Jitsu, Aikido, Karate, Kickboxing, Aiki Jutsu, Kobudo and general Self Defence techniques, for all BBF members. An interesting, informative and excellent day, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
REGRETTABLY, this year's Hull Training Day was cancelled due to the Coronavirus situation.
SUNDAY 13TH SEPTEMBER 2020, 10AM TILL 4PM AT THE KARA JUTSU BUSHIDO ACADEMY, PADIHAM
The BBF coaching course is to be held at the Kara Jutsu Bushido Academy on Sunday 13th September 2020. The course will be conducted by Soke Amos Sedgewick and Sensei Graham Houff. This course is for new assistant coaches only.
DAVID HADWIN - BLACK BELT GRADING - WEDNESDAY 17TH JULY 2019
David Hadwin, Head Coach of Hadwin School of Jiu Jitsu (associated with the MBJJA and members of the BBF), was awarded his 1st Dan Black Belt by Mat Master Sensei Brian Mcmanniman.. The very high standard expected and required was most certainly achieved..
SATURDAY 24TH OCTOBER 2020, 10AM TILL 4PM AT THE CARDINAL HEENAN SPORTS COMPLEX IN LIVERPOOL
This year's BBF National Course was scheduled to be held on Saturday 17th October 2020 at the Dojo of the Mersey Budo Ju Jitsu Academy and Liverpool Aikido Club. HOWEVER, this event will not take place due to the current Coronavirus situation. A new date will be considered as and when circumstances allow.
NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL COURSES
There are several national and international courses held throughout each year. Details will be posted as and when arranged. All BBF members are free to attend, though minimum age limits may apply.
MBJJA/LAC CHRISTMAS DRINKS, FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2020, AT 8PM
This year's Christmas drinks get-together will be on Friday 18th December, in Liverpool . The venue will be posted in due course. All are welcome and hope you will pop in, if only for one or two drinkies and to catch up with new and old friends.
THE NEW YEAR 2021 - EVENTS AND GRADINGS
The New Year will hopefully see us all getting back to our normal style and way of training, followed by gradings and our much missed regular martial arts events.
