This year's first aid course was held in the Media room at the Cardinal Heenan Sports Complex. The course was delivered by Frank Edwards from the EDUK8 Partnership. The course which was well attended, proved to be most informative, useful and enjoyed by all.
SUNDAY 25TH MARCH 2018 10AM AT THE KARA JUTSU BUSHIDO ACADEMY, PADIHAM
The 4th Dan grading for Sensei Gary O'Neill was held on Sunday 25th March and I am pleased to announce that it was an excellent grading, which Sensei O'Neill earned and deserved. Sensei O'Neill was awarded the 4th Dan grade by Sensei Amos Sedgewick from the grading panel which included Sensei Cathy Woods and Sensei Phil Mclean. Our grateful thanks to Mat Master, Sensei Brian Mcmanniman and Uki's Sensei's Wray, Dowbekin, Sujitsu, Inwood, Palmer and Atkin.

The 8th Aiki Seminar held master classes by Sensei Kirby Watson, UK Kaze Arashi Ryu, Shihan Shane Riley, White Rose Aikikai and Shihan David Rubens, Meidokan Yoshinkai.
SUNDAY 25TH MAY 2018, 10AM TILL 4PM AT THE KARA JUTSU BUSHIDO ACADEMY, PADIHAM
The BBF coaching course was held at the Kara Jutsu Bushido Academy on Sunday 25th May. The course was conducted by Soke Amos Sedgewick and attended by 13 instructors who wished to renew their coaching qualification and insurance. The course was most informative, useful and enjoyed by all.
SATURDAY 2ND JUNE 2018, 8PM AT THE PANAM RESTAURANT AND BAR IN THE ALBERT DOCK, LIVERPOOL
The MBJJA and LAC Black Tie event was held at the Panam Restaurant and Bar in the Albert Dock on Saturday 2nd June. It was a fabulous and most amazing venue. Best instructor of the year was awarded to Sensei Gary O'Neill and Best student of the year was awarded to Matt McLean. A great evening enjoyed by all, as usual.
SATURDAY 27TH OCTOBER 2018, 10AM TILL 4PM AT THE KARA JUTSU BUSHIDO ACADEMY, PADIHAM
This year's BBF National Course was held at the Padiham Town Hall, on Saturday 27th October.
Master classes in styles covered on the day included, Ju Jisu, Kobudo, Aikido, Kickboxing, Kaze Arashi Ryu, Iaido and Karate. A junior kickboxing Black Belt grading also took place. A great event, well attended and enjoyed by all.

MBJJA/LAC CHRISTMAS DRINKS, FRIDAY 21ST DECEMBER 2018, 7.30PM IN THE PEN FACTORY, HOPE STREET, LIVERPOOL
This year's Christmas drinks get-together will be at the PEN FACTORY, on Friday 21st December at 7.30pm and will be in conjuction with Sensei Sujitsu's 30th birthday celebration. All are welcome and hope you will pop in, if only for one or two drinkies and to catch up with old friends.
